The price of an anerobic digester depends on several parameters:

1- What type of digester do you want? (underground dome with masonry or plastic with above ground tanks)

2- What will be the volume of biogas production? (the volume of the digester)

3- What substrates do you want to use? (in some cases, a mechanical device to grind the substrates is also needed)

In short, it all depends on your requirements. But all in all, you can have a digester with already 500 euros.

There is no typical volume and price for the anaerobic digester. It all depends on the type and quantity of waste.

Also, others estimate the cost to be between $64,000 and $85,000 depending on equipment selection. (Lusk, AgSTAR 1996). A solids separator and a new lined storage basin were constructed concurrently with the digester. The whole system is estimated to have cost $125,000. Saba Gholizadeh There are many factors d on which the cost part depends right from the size of the plant, feedstock on daily basis, environment, end use of gas etc etc and to give you an example do we need based on the feedstock capacity or the digester volume.

Suppose we assume 100 cows and they produce approximately 10 kgs of cowdung per head which means the total cowdung available for gas generation is 1000 kgs and this typically has around 12-16% solids so assuming 1:1 water/recircualte/slurry we can go ahead with 2m3 * 25 days + gas volume digester design and this might roughly cost you approximately INR 4-7 lacs for the digester and other equipment and accessories separate.
