I am having trouble to find the translation for "figuré" as in "types et figurés".
Type specimen is clear, but how do you call in English the specimens of which photos are published? In French it is "figuré" but I cannot find a translation online...

First, I cannot discern a special technical shade of meaning in your French expression (types et figures), and so an English translation such (types and figures) will do most of the job. This is because (figure) in both languages almost share the same meaning.
it depends on context but it could also mean "featured" as in "specimens featured here"
