Are there any toxic or negative effects associated with the administration of PBA?

(Although not minor enough, to my knowledge, that people are treating diabetes with this exact compound)
There maybe more subtle effects in specific cell cultures, but its been quite well tolerated. It has been implicated in cell cycle arrest of some cancer cells, so its a wide ranging agent, and toxicity may become more apparent in newer systems.
Thank you for the details Edward. I also thought so, considering forms of this compound have already been approved by FDA for use as histone deacetylase inhibitor and in urea cycle disorders.
