V-type ATPase is the enzyme responsible for acidifying intracellular organelles like lysosomes, endosomes and synaptic vesicles. It translocates protons with concomitant hydrolysis of ATP. My concern is that if any inhibitors like Lansoprazole, which inhibits stomach H/K-ATPase, is added to the cell culture, does it inhibit V-ATPase also, if yes, how?
