Streptomyes viridis is reported to cause peritonitis in a female. We investigated an actinomycetoma of the abdomen in a 24 year old woman. Lesions were minute papules, nodules and abscesses. No discharging sinuses. Discharge from abscesses contained granules composed of branched filaments. Streptomyces viridis was isolated in repeat culture. She was treated with dapsone, streptomycin, tetracycline, rifampicin, erythromycin and Amikacin.
