Rf values (TLC and HPLC) are used to identify the drug molecules. However this information can be of great value in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. I think there's a great correction between Rf value and ADMET properties of drug molecules.

For example a simple piperidine substitution drastically changes TLC pattern and ADMET properties.
