What is the role of Interleukin 4 in envenomation (snake bite). Does anybody know of any research articles on this topic ?

The role of pro & anti inflammatory cytokines in snake bites has been investigated by some researchers. However I wish to know if there are any studies on the role of Interleukin 4 specifically in envenomation .

Thank you Dr Rajaiah. Your insight & clarity on this complex topic was very helpful. Thank you for the journal citations. I had searched several tropical medicine journals & others but am unable to get some clarity on the role of interleukin 4 specifically in snake bites. Snake bites & the morbidity & mortality associated with it are a big problem in tropical countries . There are some unexplored aspects of its pathophysiology that may open some windows of opportunity for therapeutic intervention in the future. All ideas, insight & advice from all RG scholars are most welcome.
