What is the role of books in creativity ?
An individual scholar keeps reading different books on different subjects for most part of life ? Does reading book have an impact on creativity in the individual ?

Yes, the critical reading of books that contain quality information are points of reference for the reflection of young researchers who are starting in the path of this profession; since it provides them with points of reference such as theories, conjectures, hypotheses or evidence, which together are helpful for their own inquiries, discoveries and reflections. All this, credits Creativity.
Reading books helps to get knowledge which in turn can improve creativity.
Undoubtedly, the beginning of every innovation and success is the book.

Normally, what is wanted to read, is to acquire knowledge, explore new perspectives, the characters of the book or the ideas posed by the author, depends on the book, so will the gain in knowledge
I don't see any relationship. We don't become creative by reading books about creativity.
From my experience; music; poetry; languages and travelling help us to be more cteative.

Creativity is not possible without knowledge & this is provided by books . It is essential to know what has already been achieved in the field of interest & new knowledge is produced by creativity .
Book are our treasure offering thoughts , inspiration & powerful storage of our mind subsequently transfer to our brain which becomes a guiding force for our achievement which may be helpful for transformation of our life a challenge & to become a worthy human being .
This is my personal opinion
Finally, the place that books have in the creativity of people is secondary; although fundamental as a source of secondary or tertiary information, where knowledge and reflections are captured that guide and stimulate those of other readers, academics and researchers, to undertake actions guided by their own creativity to create new knowledge or innovate existing technologies.
Voracious reading gives energises your creative mind and therefore, births new ideas, innovation and creativity.
Dear Sandeep, I believe that reading contributes to the persons' creativity. If you read a lot, many creative and original ideas can arise.
