I am taking an introduction to research and evaluation in education course. I would like to know researchers' perspectives about the main difference between research and evaluation and the reasons behind the limitations of using evaluation in scientific research? How will evaluation impact scientific research and education programs?
I appreciate any help you can provide.
When someone is tring to research something, it based mostly on the nature of the object rather than other price on market or applications. Data only help researcher to get close to the answer itself but anything else like business model or future telling, or managing, etc.
this is quite a confused question. i am surprised that anyone well educated should not know the difference.
Clearly research is investigation in to an issue, either through reading literature or collecting data. Even TV programmes have their own researchers.
Evaluation is a life skill. It is the ability to consider strengths and weaknesses of an idea, theory, article, set of data or similar. Evaluation of media is an excellent skill to develop in particular, given the importance of the media in modern living.
Who said that there is a lack of evaluation in scientific research? Where is your evidence? It seems that this is one of those sweeping assumptions based on intuition but not facts.
