Other than not being temperature compensated, can one use 4 quarter bridge configurations (2 either side) to calculate torque on a rotating shaft or does it have to be a half or full bridge.
hi Jean-Francois, thanks for the response. I have seen the document in the past. I know that this is the popular configuration for torque measurement using strain gauge but I am trying to understand why and why you would/wouldn't use a quarter bridge configuration and essentially have 4 quarter bridge gauges (still orientated as 45 and -45 to the shaft axis)
