Dear All,

How one could obtain the relationship between the number of photons in Monte Carlo simulations and power (or any other useful characteristic) of the light source in real experiments?

I need to build an experimental setup based my Monte Carlo simulation for light propagation. The software that I use just allows me to determine the number of photons delivered to the surface, but when it comes to real experiments, I don't know the light source that I use (LED for example or Halogen Lamp) how many number of photons produce; based on which I could decide about the specifications of light source.

Hopefully clear enough.

Any insight or guidance is appreciated.
