We know that entropy is associated with every matter. Can it be associated with the expansion of the universe too? Is there any spiritual angle associated with the entropy and universe expansion?

Yes, I think there is. The involution and evolution or expansion and deceleration into blackholes vs the formation of new stars as an indication of this process is what I would like to believe.
Entropy as we know increases with the natural processes as per the second law of thermodynamics.
However the studies on dark matter (verified by the extraordinary gravitational forces not explained by regular matter) and dark energy which probably answers for the accelerating expansion of the universe even after no visible force to sustain acceleration after the Big Bang.
In fact much is to be learnt from the science considering the fact that whatever goes inside a black hole eventually comes out (Hawkins’ radiation or ?). In Hinduism, we have the 3 gods of creator, sustainer and the destroyer. The black holes (which can be giagantic size amounting to billions of times of solar mass) which are the ultimate destroyer (considering how they swallows everything and how they defy the laws of physics) and then spew matter and energy for the birth of a new star.

- May be thinking of universe like a ball expanding in the sense of metric distances, based on the suggestion of a Big-Bang, is no more than repeating the dark ages suggestion that earth is the center of universe, because that is how we sense the surrounding.
- If we answer the question What was there before matter ? by saying there was Time, and Time is a field of energy, that we can connect to it by a ticking clock and by another acceleration clock, that would create an environment of unlimited growing energy of time, expanding in ( Time - distances) rather than Metric -distances, and these Time distances can convert by way of accumulating and growing energy into other forms of wat we detect as waves, and waves by further growth of condensation can condense itself into matter, then we would have a more harmonious picture of universe growing in place, by condensing itself rather than dispersing itself into a ( Cold-Expanse) , such condensation can take us to father Buscovic where microscopically examining matter will show particles separated by bigger size of spaces and each particle will follow the same law of being no more than sub-particles separated by bigger size spaces, and so forth the same with sub-particles all the way until we are convinced that there is nothing in reality makes matter other than condensed waves of a nature we do not yet understand, and where that could be no more than Time condensed into what we call matter in the process of growing-TIME that could means Expanding-Energy in place ( if we wanted to think metric distance).
Big Bang may be more of mathematical and physical violation to science than it is a solution.
Note: one would say that Hubble recorded or measured that stars are moving away from us at about 70Km /sec as a proof of universe metric expansion, and the answer to that is that what was measured is not an expansion but a mathematically incorrectly setting of our coordinates of inertial system of universe,
