Hi there,
I wonder if any of you will be able to help me, or point me in the right direction?
I am currently trying to investigate the relationship between algal bio-films and calcium deposition and lime scale formation within freshwater systems. We have a few aquatic tanks where algal bio-films have formed on the sides. This has directly led to huge calcium depositions and lime scale formations. It seems like the algae is directly causing the calcium to precipitate out of solution. If anybody has any expertise or knowledge of this type of water chemistry, please do get in touch. We are desperately seeking any re-mediation for this proccess.
I have attached a copy of the water chemistry parameters here, in case that may help with the answer.
Best regards,
Jack
