Occupancy is directly proportional to the room temperature.

Occupancy predication can be done with MPC if the model is available.

Till date such kind of mathematical equation is not available, my view is the relation can't be fixed with few equations. Because it depends on not only the occupancy but also the room size, AC capacity, number of doors and windows.

one foremost think we have to consider that is atmospheric temperature. It plays a vital role in HVAC systems modeling and control.

In addition all the human being body heat need to be taking in to account.

Hence you can develop one model equation for your specifications. Everybody's equation need to be distinct.

I have read about ASHRAE and PMV index, the thing is in the equation of PMV you have to use a value for the metabolic rate of the person, so what about if there is more than one person. should we multiply the metabolic value by the number of persons???

Ok, so what is the precise method??

and is the PMV for a group of people?? if it is, what is the value of metabolic rate that should be considered in the calculation??
