I am using modified hummer to synthesize the GO. After Cleaning with 0.5% HCl my solution become slurry. is it ok or this should not be happen?
also please let me know that what could be the difference in characteristic ?

Did you wash and then centrifuge, obtaining a slurry of GO after discarding the supernatant? If so, its normal. Atleast I have observed similar results. If you dry it, you should obtain a powdered form of GO.

yes ..i did the same process as you mentioned. but after drying the slurry i didn't get powered form of GO but a dark brown film.

If you scrape/scratch the film, do you get powdered product ? I initially obtained a film too after drying the slurry, but on scraping it off i obtained the powdered GO.
