How many sample size need to select for Case study and Empirical study - (data analysis) in social science or Business research ?
Experimental study involves some form action, imposed control or intervention to obtain data for subsequent analysis while Empirical study involves purely the observation and analysis of data.

What we see the breakthroughs of theories mostly tested empirically means the theory would be tested by the data for a certain time for example Leontif paradox which is the empirical test of H-O theory. I hope It would help you to understand.

Case study usually means qualitative research, for example you
analyze one or few companies. Emprical research is usually of quantitative nature and requires a representative and reliable sample which size depends on the total population. In general, you can't do much of usual statistics if your sample is less than 100 in business sfudies.
