I currently have frozen organisms which I hope to use for various biochemical analysis. I am trying to determine the best protocol for collecting tissue samples from my organisms so that I don't reduce the quality of the tissues for analysis. The majority of literature I have read freeze-dry the tissue samples for these different analyses, however, all of these papers are freeze-drying samples that were collected from fresh organisms, not frozen. Are there any other ways to preserve tissue samples for mineral, vitamin and amino acid analysis? Can you freeze dry samples from a frozen organism?
Thanks in advance.
