What is the output of Microarray technique when it is applied on DNA?
Is it gene expression value?
If I can get this gene expression value or output of microarray technique applied on DNA then I could easily detect the cancer but I am not getting any values. I know the whole procedure of Microarray technique but don't know what to do here.

When you use microarray with DNA as a sample you can find infornation at the DNA and genome level ,so you can not conclude what happen at the cellular function and how genome variation and information disturbed the cell function and cause the cancer.But if you want to find information at the expression level you must to work with RNA as a sample.In this way you can find what genes involved at that cancer and decreased or increased expression of which of genes related to cancer,for example decreased expression of tumor supressor genes or increased expression of oncogenes as a cause of cancer.Also if you work with RNA as a expression marker you can find a network genes related to cancer.
