What are the present scenario in the field of Bioinformatics in India in terms of research and facilities in leading research institutes and Universities. How much research is in cooperation among experimental and Computational biology to make way for preclinical studies?

Indian Bioinformatics arena especially North India seems to lack collaborative space among research groups. There is a big gap among research institutes and Hospitals with sharing of patient data which may be due to numerous hurdles like Ethical regulations, proper crediting of work in research articles.
