May I know, what is the percentage range of the capacity that can be spilled back to the suction of the pump through the recirculate line (restrict orifice located at the recirculate line)?
Can i maximize the capacity of spill back by installing a flow control valve at B (discharge line)?

Loo, it’s possible to recirculate 100% of the fluid discharged by the pump, if you want to control the capacity of the pump with this arrange, you have to control either suction pressure or fluid rate pumped. In each case you have to use a Pressure Control or a Flow Control in combination with a Valve (PCV or FCV). The system start with the valve totally open and when you adjust the set point, the valve partially close until reach the desired conditions.
You can use a restrict orifice only if at any time you can warranty conditions that don’t cause damage in the pump (For example Cavitation), it’s easier in critical flow.
This kind of arrangement is more common in positive displacement pumps. However, centrifugal pumps usually are controlled placing a control valve at the discharge.
Also, If you are recycling a large fraction of the flow you should consider adding a cooler or the recycled material could get too hot for the pump to handle..
