Happiness is the state of our mind. Generally, people with a sense of meaning and purpose in life distracts very little from worldly affairs. Don't try to change the thing which is beyond your control. Don't worry about the situations you can not control. Those who live in the present without worrying about the future tend to be happier. Finally, utilise every moment of your life as once passed it won't come back.

Personally to me is - we need to thank God that we are still alive in this world to fulfill our dreams.
We are able to "Live Full & Die Empty" rather than "Live Empty & Die Full" i.e. dying with unfulfilled dreams as stated in this diagram attached from Internet.
