Hi,

I have been trying to extract RNA from bovine milk somatic cells with Trizol method and using Qiagen spin column, but the RNA yield I obtain is very low(about 30 ng/ul, I tried 50ml, 100ml, and 150ml milk as samples), and when I run the samples on an electrophoresis gel, I observe RNA degradation as well as DNA contamination. Despite using fresh milk as the source material and strictly following all the recommended procedures, including using RNase-free equipment and reagents, these issues persist.

I also tried RNA later solution and it didn't work out.

does anyone can help me?
