While performing a live-dead assay using Calcein AM and Propidium Iodide I noticed that the dead cells were attached (but many claim they don't adhere). I performed a Vi-cell count of the media in the well-plate using Trypan Blue, and found that the cells that didn't adhere need not necessarily be dead. Any explanation or direction will be appreciated.
