Interception XPS analysis
Hello researchers. I would ask to you guys. Maybe several researchers can help me to explain this question.
In my XPS case, the binding energy is 295.94, 293.03, 292.68, and 296.08. How do we know the chemical contained in this binding energy? Until now, I have not found references that are similar to this binding energy. I just found the references on this website:

What is the meaning CF2, CF2 and pi-pi*

CF2 = cabon bound to 2 fluorine atoms
CF3 = Carbon bound to 3 fluorine atoms
pi-pi* = excitation of elemtrsom from HOMO to LUMO orbitals
