We synthesized a polymer with dextran in our labratory. There is a peak with wavelength 2120 nm-1 in it's FTIR spectrum. This wave-number referred to alkynes or nitriles bond in polymer structure (In reference book). But, as we know, there isn't any triple bond in raw materials and product (synthesized polymer) and also based on a chemical reaction which happened in polymer synthesis. It's not possible to produce a triple bond during the reaction. I would like to know what is the meaning of these peaks in an FTIR test?
