I want to check the variation of pH in the groundwater of different locations and reasons of variations. So, if you have encountered the higher pH value (greater than 9) in the groundwater, please suggest me the location or send me the links of articles/publications related to this.

It exists in special environments where extreme pH values are found: volcano lakes for hyperacidity, hyperalcaline sources of the ocean floor for higher pH values. When the tectonics carry on the continents, the scales of the ocean floor (ophiolites) are still found in the meteorological state.

In our studies of the ground water in Mosul city and around , the pH of all wells were less than 9, because of Ca++ and Mg++ carbonate enriches.
pH of Ground water depend on the geological formation of the aquifer and the feeding area.
