Dear Dr. Md. Ripaj Uddin , it is an interesting and debatable issue.
Judgments indicate a position of self-righteousness. The underlying assumption is that I am right and you are wrong, and that you must do what I do and must think like I think. Research is judging based on result obtained from experimentation.
Research is the creation of new knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings. This could include synthesis and analysis of previous research to the extent that it leads to new and creative outcomes.
According to me, research is the process of gathethering indepth knowledge on a particular topic and then propose new facts or contribute to the existing facts or literature with proper justification. Whereas, judgement is considered as the concluding step that includes the final statements based on the research work done as an evidence.
The judgement is the ability to make considerable or some sensible decisions based on the past experience. And on the other hand, research is the systematic investigation of study of materials/sources to establish facts and to reach new conclusive inferences.
"The judgement is the ability to make considerable or some sensible decisions based on the past experience".
I like your answer and it can also be extended for research into the nature consciousness which I feel needs to be based in inner experiences. These experiences can then be used to generate "sensible decisions" or hypotheses that can be tested through studying or researching the inner experiences of others using a qualitative approach or quantitative approach using for example scales.
Science normally proceeds from the assessment of past knowledge or research- so we too make judgments on how to proceed in our research as well as interpreting the findings regarding our findings.
Research and judgments go hand in hand where our level of consciousness probably has a great deal to do with the type of judgements we make.
