I am trying to submit a paper to the International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (ICJARS). I had used the onecolumn format mentioned in the svjour3 file. However, my manuscript has been asked to be updated to single column format style. Should I add external code to create the single column format? How should I go about doing this?

Did you try to ask them if they already have a template of " single column format style "? Otherwise you can use one of the plenty online templets after doing some modifications to get the desired format.
