i will synthesis platinum nanopartcles using green synthesis but i try to put to of them on each other with no change of color
i read in literature that using of surfactant is suitable and needed to get the platinum nano particles?
can get any help in this
what kind of surfactant ? how much added? and comments can help
Its actually a stabilizer/capping agent that you need - after you have produced the nanoparticles. It seems that your plant extract is not reducing the platinum precursor. A surfactant allows wetting of the material - that's all. With an anionic surfactant one can induce stability at the correct concentration. You system needs to be stabilized either electrostatically (charge) or sterically (polymer layer). There's always an optimum amount of any ionic additive (too much as bad as too little). You could try phosphate (e.g. Calgon, sodium hexametaphosphate) in concentrations between 0.01 - 0.5 % depending on the available surface area. I prefer steric stabilization with a 50 kDa PEG or PEI polymer

You may see the link bellow where different small molecules are used to form platinum anticancer drugs and their delivery. But to make PtNPs, its precursors are too expensive. You may try relatively less expensive one, such as Au, Ag, Bi, Fe and their oxide NPs.

If you synthesize nanoparticles of platinum metals with a plant extract, then you do not need to use surfactants. Surfactants can interact with molecules that are in the extract of plants. To synthesize surfactants in direct micelles, you need to take cationic surfactants with micelles and reduct the Platinum metal cation with borohydride or hydrazine. It is only necessary to select the concentrations of these reducing agents with an excess of stoichiometric amount.
