When we understand the fundamental element of happiness and live by it, we will be happy. What is it? What is the fundamental key to happiness? Though it may seem very easy, finding the key to happiness can be one of life’s most difficult and elusive tasks; yet it is possible.
First, let’s explore what causes suffering. Why do we suffer? Some time ago, I worked with a woman who struggled with life. She was a wonderful person, but one of the biggest sources of her unhappiness was her weight. She felt as though she was too heavy and thus unattractive, and she was very self-critical of this fact. She once related to me an episode that had occurred years ago when she and her husband were out on a dinner date. Her husband made a comment about her weight, which wasn’t kind. He immediately took it back and apologized profusely for what he had said, but in her head, she kept hearing the hurtful remark over and over. His words stayed in her mind, and unfortunately, she added to this barrage of negativity by repeatedly commenting upon her own weight in very damaging ways. Even though her husband had made the comment only once, ten years prior, his words kept resonating in her brain, and his remark, along with her own negative self-criticism, caused her great suffering.
The purpose of life is to strive for happiness. Happiness and unhappiness are things that we need to determine in depth. Some time it seems good to say that the purpose of life is happiness, but I usually to say that happiness is the fundamental right of ourselves. Happiness means mainly a sense of deep satisfaction. A calm mind is very important to attain happiness. The more compassionate our mind is the better our brain functions. Compassion and affection help the brain to functions smoothly and gives inner strength and self-confidence that gives calmness to our brain. So, I summarize "Be compassionate that will provide you inner strength and self confidence, consequently you will be able to attain peace".
According to my personal opinion, the result of my experience in this life is that happiness is the key to contentment and conviction in what we are and what we own, and that we do not look at others and compare ourselves with them and live our life is not relative to another. In this case sadness or egoism is not generated.
The fourth key to happiness: Change your thoughts: Ideas can be a medicine and can be a disease, depending on the quality and way you interact with them, because thoughts affect feelings and feelings affect the physical organs, for example negative thoughts that make you doubt your personal abilities and weaken the Your confidence, your ability to succeed, and the life you want will damage both your mental and physical conditions and cause you to feel depressed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, tense and affect your inner physical system which may cause you health complications. Conversely, positive thoughts strengthen your confidence and self-esteem. If you believe in your personal abilities and therefore make you feel physically and psychologically comfortable and help strengthen your acquired immunity that plays the role of defender against all the alien objects that enter your body, it is very important to pay attention to your thoughts so as not to affect your feelings of happiness, so focus on your thoughts, You can, fortify yourself from the sources of negative thoughts that your friends may be your co-workers around you, always think in a positive way, no less do not know how to do it, but say if you learn I will do it
The key to happiness, to my mind, is to see the world free of devastating wars and to see people from different religions and ethnic groups live together peacefully because true love and happiness depend on the condition whereby the happiness of other people is a prerequisite to our own.
happiness is a kind of inner feeling. for some people like me happiness means more and more achievements in different aspects of life together. being healthy, wealthy, successful and self-satisfied. its a matter of your view. if you think you are happy, you will be happy irrespective of others. I feel life is the field for a battle. if you win more and more, you will be happier and happier. best
Part of it lies in knowing how to be content with the simplest pleasures of life; being connected with people who support and affirm you; being healthy; being able to pursue your dreams and desires...
The keys to happiness had been described by Profit Mohammed (PBUH) by telling us that:
"Any one who wakes-up safe in his surroundings, physically healthy& has his demands (food) of that day, then he would be as if awarded the whole life for his own"
Faith in Allah, all his angels, holy books& all his profits and messengers are the essential keys of happiness in my opinions
For the happiness in this short life, look at people who have less than you. For the happiness in the other life, learn from people who know more than you.
I have this huge 1097 paged book on my shelf-- The Oxford Handbook of Happiness, edited by Susan David et. el. You might want to look at it. I am hoping to read it someday.
Most people want to be happy. But they also want to be successful. And, while each person might have an individualized definition of just what each of those things means to them specifically, the overall desire to lead a life that’s free of stress, worry, anxiety and fear, while being replete with happiness and success, is constant.
When we talk about happiness and success, we’re talking about two different things. What makes a person feel happy and what makes a person feel successful don’t always coincide with one another. But sometimes they do. The thing about happiness and success is that, in order to achieve either of them, you first need a definition in place on what they actually mean to you.
Also you must consider what will make you happy, and write it down. Consider what will make you feel successful, and right it down. This is a prerequisite for achieving either. Without writing it down, they’ll remain in the abstract. And goals that remain in the abstract are always unattainable. So, put some definition behind them both.
Happiness and success are preceded by gratitude. We need to happily succeed rather than try to succeed to be happy. Success should not breed happiness. Happiness should bread success. Once we’re happy, and we’re doing something we love in life, success becomes a byproduct. However, when our happiness hinges on our success, good things never come.
Happiness and success will never come until we’re completely grateful for what we have. Even if we think that all we have are problems, we have to be grateful for them. Because, if we were to throw our problems into the ring with those of others from around the world, I can assure you that we would take our problems back.
When we don’t effectively manage our time, we increase our likelihood for stress, anxiety, fear, and worry. We get so caught up in the day-to-day act of responding to life’s stressors, that we’re unable to preemptively tackle the things that will help to avoid crises and emergencies in the future. We miss bill payments, forget about meetings, and fail to organize our activities to pursue our long-term goals.
It’s clearly not about how much time we have that breeds unhappiness or offers up a deterrent towards our goals, it’s what we do with the precious little time that we do have. Find a good system to manage your time and make it habitual. Don’t allow life to knock you down. Focus your energy and your enthusiasm, find a system that works for you and work it.
Also in order to be happy person you must set smarter goals.
When you set smarter goals, you’re setting Specific , Meaningful , Achievable , Relevant , and Time-Based goals that are Evaluated , and the approach is Re-Adjusted until you succeed. This is an important process in the success recipe and people who don’t follow along find goal achievement far more difficult.
Health and wellbeing are an important part of the happiness-and-success formula, and one of the biggest keys to achieving them both. When we do things to harm ourselves by overeating, over-drinking alcohol, taking recreational drugs, and the like, not only does it have an adverse effect on our bodies, but also on our minds.
If we want to get ahead, succeed, and feel mentally at peace with ourselves, we need an empowering morning routine. These good morning habits need to be front-loaded at the start of the day because that’s when our minds are so fresh and we have so much clarity. And, by waking up early enough to tackle a list of good habits, we’re setting ourselves up for success and happiness.
The first step is to be aware of your attention and your expression in the moment. You can not change something you are not aware you are doing. This also takes the attention away from the images in your mind of what you “should be.” Just by shifting your attention you interrupt the pattern of rejection. To help you make the shift ask these types of questions throughout the day. What am I expressing? What is my attitude? What emotion am I conveying in my voice? These questions will bring your attention to your expression in the moment. They also shift your expression and point of view to one of inquiry instead of letting the voice in your head express a story of rejection.
Happiness and joy aren’t guaranteed because you achieve your self help goals. These are just games we set up in the mind to trigger our expression of love and acceptance. It is your expression in the moment that determines the happiness and joy in your life. When you express love you are happy. When you express emotions of fear and anger you are unhappy. We have become conditioned in our life to express ourselves in reaction to outside events. Only when we break these conditioned emotional responses and consciously choose our attitude will our happiness be assured. Having awareness and direction over your expression is the key to assuring your happiness.
The key to create authentic happiness in your life is to express love. Since your expression of love is solely up to you, you already have the key to your own happiness. What remains is for you to determine what you do with your key.
There are scientific studies confirm that help others deal with psychological stress; the experts in the field of psychology stressed that helping others would ease nervousness; as engaging in helping others stimulates the secretion of the hormone «endorphins», a hormone that helps the feeling of psychological comfort and euphoria, and confirms the former director of the Institute «health Promotion» in the United States «Alan Lex» to help others help reduce unit stress; as to help the individual to others reduce his thinking Bhmovernm and his personal problems; and then feel psychological comfort. Socrates sees happiness as a sense of success from within, and not in the material rewards we receive. The ability to dispense with materials makes us appreciate the beauty of simple things
Psychology defines happiness as a product to reach the person to the degree of satisfaction with his presence in this life, or life itself, or it is a recurring feeling of emotions, feelings of joy and pleasure, which means that happiness in psychology, the concept is determined by the nature of the individual, and its interaction with Environment, and positive attitudes.
Happiness is a feeling of joy, accompanied by complacency, with which the individual feels reassured, and happiness is fulfilled by satisfying the needs. When a person suffers from his or her needs, whether primary or secondary, his feelings are less satisfied, as much as he feels the need.
That many people are waiting to something happening to him a particular feel so happy, as some people think that the feeling of happiness is the result of success, but the opposite is true as that success is the result of a feeling of happiness, and demonstrates the validity of saying through martyrdom examples of celebrity life like Elvis Presley, Dalida, where both of them got what he wished, but they did not Ahara happy, and ended their suicide
That happiness is in our hands, but we do not feel it, because we look at what is in the hands of others, and we hope to get it, and that no one is unhappy, but there are ideas that cause the feeling of unhappiness, and if not happy in his life would not be happy in any life Other.
