What is the Impact of computer multimedia on the human psyche?

Maybe is equivalent to the impact of TV & cinema.

In what level of equivalence are we talking about? I think in TV and cinema as a kind of passive impact, where we receive informations and do whatever we want with it. The computer multimedia gives to us a greater range of possibilities. We can receive information, give information, transform it. So, I believe the impact is in another level.
