New ideas, new concepts in science and art arise as a result of human creativity, innovation, emotional intelligence, the need for self-realization, the need to be appreciated by other people. These are the values at the very top of Maslov's pyramid. Human higher needs arose through the evolution of human consciousness and intelligence under conditions of multi-generational development of sociobiological and psychosocial determinants.

It's a matter of definition. How is creativity defined in science? As an artist and designer I may have a different definition. If you are suggesting that creativity is reserved to Humans, I disagree. ART may be reserved to humans - though that too is arguable - but most/all creatures find new ways and innovate (to deal with survival). And some more than others (species, but also on an individual level). So what IS creativity? How does it develop in our brains and why is it so different from one individual to the next?
although possible, i doubt whether creativity is only activated at a certain stage of cognitive development. i would not think of it as a secondary cognitive stage or level that is only activated when prerequisite stages are activated.
rather, creativity may be demonstrated at very early levels of cognitive development already.
you may need a certain level of development in terms of creativity and cognition to produce meaningful contributions to society, etc though.

Genesis is definitely a Biblical wording: men, being expelled from paradise, became a tool-making animal to lower its burden of existence. Technology can produce more leisure and at best result in more human creativity, if the gained surplus life-time is not wasted in consumerism and economic warfare. So, tool-making is the initial genesis of human creativity, it converted natural history by socio-technical inventions into cultural history.
Necessity is not only the mother of invention but also innovation. For instance, when man found that the distances he has to traverse were far too great and he needed a wheel. Implements of all kinds which make life easier must have to him from the spark of creativity. Arts which serve no practical need must have arrived after securing a fair measure of safety. There is of course the other school of thought which believes creativity to be such a mysterious process that defies rational analysis. It is a gift from heaven no ratiocination will be able to decode.

The above discussion inspired me to the following considerations:
When did the evolution of human creativity begin? Has human creativity started to evolve thousands of years ago in the times of the primitive man? Was the Neanderthal creative? Was it only the Cro-Magnon man that creatively created creative works of art and functional objects? Did the creativity of the primitive man begin when he started to create the first utility tools from stones and sticks, or only when he began to use the fire to his needs and began to paint the first drawings on the walls of the caves? What are the beginnings of human creativity, innovation and artistry?
