Is the end of labor law? or will it be the strengthening of international legislation?
think it is not the end the labor law, but all us have started a new periode because of the transformation of the traditional work and employments: workink from home, teleworking, technology incorporation to the companies and Jobs and replacament the Jobs by machines, aging of population, emigration. I think that in this periode the labor law will include mínimum standards and the collective bargaining will have more importance in the standarize of the labor conditions. The Jobs will be more precarius, the differences between the national legislations can be the cause of the "deslocations" of the companies, de destruction of the Jobs or the transformation the Jobs in precarius Jobs and the public social system should imprve to new need situations.
Preparing for a world without work means grappling with the roles work plays in society, and finding potential substitutes. First and foremost, we rely on work to distribute purchasing power: to give us the dough to buy our bread. Eventually, in our distant Star Trek future, we might get rid of money and prices altogether, as soaring productivity allows society to provide people with all they need at near-zero cost.
For a good while longer, wages will continue to be the main way people come by money, and prices will be needed to ration access to scarce goods and services. But in the absence of any broader social change, pushing people out of work will simply redirect the flow of income from workers to firm-owners: the rich will get richer. Freeing people from work without social collapse will therefore require society to find ways other than pay for labour to channel money to those not on the job. People might come to receive more of their income in the form of state-led redistribution: through the payment of a basic income, for instance, or direct public provision of services such as education, healthcare and housing. Or, perhaps, everyone could be given a capital allotment at birth. These sorts of arrangements don’t magically materialise as machines become more powerful. They must be brought into existence through political action. And that’s where things start to get complicated. One problem is that large-scale social overhaul takes a long time to emerge and have an effect. Another is that money for nothing is not necessarily what the displaced masses are interested in.

This is one of the most interesting questions I have seen on the subject of A.I. However, in Africa we have no reason to worry just yet.
The predictions are that low skill work will lose out, with jobs increasing in high skill work, with the self-employed being especially at risk. But I find it hard to see how some roles can be replaced by machines-we have already seen driverless cars crashing into one another! However, although I do not see total gloom and doom, I do see a massive need for a major re-think of employment regulation, not just because of technology but also radical and complex business practices where even the identity and role of an employer is hard to define. I do know that we will have remember two things. First, you cannot put the clock back-there is no point is dreaming about the 'good old days', and, second, we have to move away from the pre-eminence of Full-time work, for a lifetime , the notion of a traditional career, traditional reward systems and pensions.
The end of labor law is not necessarily imminent, but nevertheless foreseeable.
In the medium term, the political focus will shift to enabling populations to finance cost of living despite narrowing possibilities for human beings to earn an income. In the longer term, the focus will shift to managing the size of human populations.
While humans may manage AI technology now, we will not long remain in charge. The best chance for survival is to collaborate with the machines.
The future will be radically different from the present.
Don't we need to carefully define work? Are we saying we won't need farmers, doctors, carers, teachers, etc etc.at all? We are quite interdependent and may well continue to be so. Someone will need to build these wretched machines anyway, mend them, improve them. We are still more crteative.
