Rapidly changing pharmaceutical R&D strategies put medicinal chemists in big trouble. Big pharmaceuticals now a days are solely depend on CRO industry for their discovery projects. In my view this strategy had a bad effect on medicinal chemists future.

In my opinion, every aspects of science are changing rapidly. The real challenge is to be adopted and ride on the progress. There is no future for any technology if experts get myopia.

I agree with you thoughts and support your statement. However I am asking how todeal with such situationsas everyone is not adopted to such changes. Please highlight some point if you can.
I think medicinal chemist with additional skills in computational/simulation skills in chemistry and biology will lead medicine research in future.
