It is reported that about 1000 billion cubic meters of water fall on the Ethiopian plateau. Reaching Egypt, about 55 million cubic meters through the Nile River. What is the fate of the rest of the water? Did it reach Egypt and Sudan in the form of groundwater? How can we make sure of that?

Whether Ethiopia is completely drained by only Nile River or there are any other rivers? Whether 1000 billion M3 mentioned is the volume of rainfall received or utilizable amount? Whether the evaporation and evapotranspiration losses are considered? Whether the catchment area of Nile river receives rainfall from other places other than Ethiopia? Thank you.
