Hi,

it is believed that the mechanisms for T. vaginalis resistance to metronidazole is not yet fully understood and explored. As many authors point out, there are several different mechanisms that play a role in developing resistance to metronidazole. I am attaching links to two different articles that hopefully will be of help and to supplement the article by Dhand and Snydman.
