I wonder if anyone has an idea of the number of cells at confluency of culture plates (96, 48, 24, 12, 6-wells) and flasks (T25, T75, T175). I'm working with cartilage progenitor cells (MSC-like characteristics), doing a cell yield study and need a rough idea of what plates/flasks I'll need as I expand my cells. I tried the Thermofisher website, but those values seem quite high to me.
Hi Paulina, it really depends on the size of the cells. You can measure the number of your cells by counting them using a hemocytometer or a particle counter.

Like you said the cartilage progenitor cells have MSC like characterisctics, I would say that either the cell culture dishes 150mm or the T75 would be better for them.
The MSC have an elongated structure, so they need more space to grow, and I always go for the above mentioned ones, for expanding.
