the texture of the substrate and structure of the composting material is very much important wen v start composting since t il affect the final product or finished compost. usually wen v start compost ts necessary to notice the uniformity in structure and texture wic simply meant by equal size of the substrate to be composted.

texture is critical to success. Composting is a predominantly aerobic process - so providing oxygen is very important. To allow oxygen diffusion the compost mixture must allow transport of air and gaseous exchange. Getting the mixture of readily degradable / fibrous / nutrient rich materials is the basis of success. And the ability of the final mixture to both hold water and 'breathe'.
