I want to know, how dislocation and twinning has effect on steel's elctrochemical properties? if anyone can suggest some reference, it will be great help for me. thanks
Dear Mr. Qurashi. I investigated the relationship between density of dislocation and corrosion rate of low carbon steel via increasing the volume fraction of martensite and decreasing grain size in these two papers.

I am not a specialist in corrosion, yet had to perform some experiments which may be interesting to you. Thus, severely cold deformed (SPD) Ti displayed no meaningful effect of accumulated dislocation density on the common corrosion.
However, one should expect a strong effect of material strength (implicitly, dislocation density) on the stress-assisted corrosion whose driving force is roughly proportional to strength.
