Metabolizable energy is the net energy available to an animal after the utilization of some energy in the processes of digestion and absorption and the loss of some of the material as being undigested or indigestible. It is just equivalent to hatchability of eggs. It also represent temperature that is essentially required to condition the young to emerge from (the egg) as by brooding or incubating.
The first thing to look for should be the effect of dietary energy on egg quality.
High energy contain in food may led to high fat contain in egg.
But how fat level in egg can affect embryo development and egg hatchability, i don't really know. If it brings more energy, i think hatchability could increase in optimal condition of inbubator.
