hello every one,
I found most of the times ethylene glycol (EG) is used along with citric acid to prepare perovskites in sol-gel process. what is the exact role of EG?
In sol-gel method citric acid and ethylene glycol were used to enhance the reaction and make gel respectively. EG is also known as stabilizing agent.
EG is also known as a capping and stabilizing agent
In addition, EG can help to increase the porosity because it can play a role as a soft template
