 Hello Andrew, thanks a lot for your reaction. Unfortunately, although a very interesting article, this is more about flight distance to avoid predators, and a comparison between urban birds (less adapted to disturbance) and non-urban birds.

In the US, you might get some information from the USGS Bird Banding lab, which would have records of both initial banding site and any recapture/returns.  There must be an equivalent for areas in Europe or UK.

Dispersal distance estimates tend to be fairly sparse (especially in North America). If species specific estimates of dispersal distance are hard to find for your species of interest, you may want to look at or derive estimates using models on larger set of species. For example, see this paper and those citing it:

Bowman, Jeff. "Is dispersal distance of birds proportional to territory size?." Canadian Journal of Zoology 81, no. 2 (2003): 195-202.

I would also look at the papers that have cited the following:

Greenwood, P. J., & Harvey, P. H. (1982). The natal and breeding dispersal of birds. Annual review of ecology and systematics, 13, 1-21.
