I want to assess suppressive mechanisms (contact dependent& soluble Factors) of regulatory T cells using co-culture and Transwell experiments. Which one of the above membranes (Polyethylene Tetraphthalate or Polycarbonate) will be more suitable for this purpose? What is the difference of these membranes?
Does anyone have any experience using the Transwell Inserts from SPL Life Sciences? Do they work well? I seek for an appropriate Transwell system which works well (Price is important also).

I read information provided in above links and as I understood, I should use high pore density membranes which are available both in Polyethylene Tetraphthalate and Polycarbonate forms. So, I think there is no difference regarding this point between these two membranes.
The other point which seems to be important is that I should select a membrane with low protein binding capacity (because I want to assess secretion of molecules by regulatory T cells ). But unfortunately I could not gain any information regarding protein binding capacity of Polyethylene Tetraphthalate and Polycarbonate membranes.
