CM-H2DCFDA is cell-permeable and can be hydrolyzed by intracellular esterases to give it fluorescence. Therefore, it is better suited for ROS evaluation in biological samples than H2DCFDA.
I used CM-H2DCFDA with skeletal muscle cells, but when evaluating with confocal microscopy, too much excitation with the laser will degrade the dye and decrease the signal; when you want to quantify the amount of ROS, it is better to make the conditions uniform.
