Political power in democratic countries is due to the consent of the people and therefore is not perpetual. While economic power is due to your ability to produce wealth and can also be perpetual. Political power must be used for the benefit of the whole society in an ethical way. Economic power can be used for personal gain, even if ethically.
Without education, we are weaker economically. Without economic power, we are weaker in terms of national security. No great military power has ever remained so without great economic power.
Economical power is more powerful than political power.
A country which is having strong economy will tend to have strong and powerful political parties.
A political party also needs strong background, specially with references to its strategy and planning and execution which is directly related to to its economic standards.
Actually it could be reasoned that economic power is very important like political power. This is because the two of them are very good in influencing behaviours in human society. However, Karl Marx and his lieutenants have argued that economic activities determine superstructure in human society. That is a fact that has been proved or validated in several studies but this is far from reality in Nigeria. In contemporary Nigeria, political power determines economic, religion, cultural and social affairs. Therefore, many Nigerians are wealthy and they are being accorded respects in their various religion groups, business circles, cultural and social settings not because of integrity, innovation and creativity but because such persons had access to political power which they used to embezzled public fund to the detriment of the poor masses. There are many touts at the corridors of power who dictate the pace of things in all spheres of life.
“….Economic power is exercised by means of a positive, by offering men a reward, an incentive, a payment, a value; political power is exercised by means of a negative, by the threat of punishment, injury, imprisonment, destruction. The businessman’s tool is values; the bureaucrat’s tool is fear.” — AYN RAND Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal
“Political power” refers to the power of government. The symbol of political power is a gun.
"Economic power", on the other hand, is the ability to produce material values and offer them for sale. E.g., the power of Big Oil is the power to discover, drill, and bring to market a large amount of oil. Economic power lies in assets–i.e., the factors of production, the inventory, and the cash possessed by businesses. The symbol of economic power is the dollar.

Although not a full answer but especially about some differences, it will be useful for you to read the great book of John Galbraith "Änatomy of power". It needs too much time to comment it here.
Well, my senior brother, Kelson, could be right in his perspective concerning power, probably in the context of his own country. However, it could be a good idea if he could investigate if the same scenario persist in other nations of the world, most especially, in underdeveloped nations of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Hence, the view of elder Anneenberg that the greatest power is not power but political power seems to be better. This is because it reflects the social life reality of power in Nigeria in the past and in the contemporary times. political power is needed to capture any other power in Nigeria. In many political arenas or settings or gatherings, a tout who knows his way has power to every other areas of life in the country
"The idea that modernisation makes for enhanced national power and rapid progress and helps everyone achieve greater happiness has its origins in the astonishing political, economic and military successes of western Europe in the 19th century."
For the policy of language from source on the effective, as indicated by the son of his master, he said: It is a matter of policy and accepted by the owner of the son of slaves and politics, the act of the groom, and the guardian of the welfare of the ransom, and the money is a matter of the sons of so and so: the cost of their policy and their return Turquoise Abadi: and established the parish policy: ordered and end.
It is derived from the verb SAS, or is taken from it, in a dispute between the grammarians and the contender of the verb "licorice"; that is, the material and the signifier, as provided for by the sergeant, supplied the word under "verb" .
A term that means caring for the internal and external affairs of the state, and is defined procedurally according to Harold Laswell as a study of the authority that determines who gets what (limited resources) when and how. Any study of the division of resources into society by power (David Easton). The Communists defined it as a study of relations between the classes. Political realists defined politics as an art that could study and change the political reality objectively and not the common mistake that the art of the possibility is to submit to political reality and not to change it based on the calculations of power and interest.
The policy expresses a decision-making process that is binding on the whole society, which addresses material and moral values, symbolizes demands and pressures, and is achieved by achieving goals within the plans of individuals, groups, institutions and elites according to certain ideology at the local, regional or international level. Politics is a relationship between a ruler and a governed, the highest authority in human societies, where political power means the ability to make a convicted person work or not, whether he wants to or not. It has the advantage of being a public and monopolizing means of coercion, such as army and police, and enjoys legitimacy.

Political power is a lot more complex than just the definition of the concept. The concept of political power must first be divided between power and political. If the concept is seen as one the whole meaning might not be as strong as it is supposed to be.

"Disorder is inherent in stability. Civilized man doesn't understand stability. He's confused it with rigidity. Our political and economic and social leaders drool about stability constantly. It's their favorite word, next to 'power.'
'Gotta stabilize the political situation in Southeast Asia, gotta stabilize oil production and consumption, gotta stabilize student opposition to the government' and so forth.
Stabilization to them means order, uniformity, control. And that's a half-witted and potentially genocidal misconception. No matter how thoroughly they control a system, disorder invariably leaks into it. Then the managers panic, rush to plug the leak and endeavor to tighten the controls. Therefore, totalitarianism grows in viciousness and scope. And the blind pity is, rigidity isn't the same as stability at all.
True stability results when presumed order and presumed disorder are balanced. A truly stable system expects the unexpected, is prepared to be disrupted, waits to be transformed."
Power is a social phenomenon. Social power is present (albeit in a latent form) wherever there are stable associations of people: in the family, in production collectives, in the state, i.e. where there are real opportunities and the ability to influence people's behavior through any means. The dynamics of the development of any organized community of people represents a struggle between power and chaos.
State power is a special kind of social power. If in a primitive society social power has a public (social) character, then in a class-organized society it is political. In the state we are dealing with political power. In analyzing the political systems of a society, power occupies the same place as money in economic systems: it has strong roots in the public and private life of citizens.
Economic power in the narrow sense of the word is understood as the power of economic entities in the sphere of economy.
Economical power is the most important factors which can affect strongly the politic power because it was well known that there is no independence for any country without strong economic power .
Economic & political remain working on the same principle so to say they are twins & both are dealing with the people everywhere in the world . Both have scare means for the alternate uses ,if they work & if their action are both in the twins line with the utilization of resources both can carry out the maximum good for the maximum happiness.
With this if with this the aim of both are the same for the common good for the people but their action do not correlate with each other as politician consider their action under the selfish motive as their interested & anxious for reaching the aim of entering politics for getting the power & generally for utilizing the same as social standing .
In case of economic they have the a specialization in various areas of economic & anxious to offer the knowledge for the benefit for the society .
It is in this line we have to view & respect the twins entries however politics very often get abused from the society & that is why it has been remarked as Power corrupt Power Absolute Power corrupt Absolutely .
