In my research work, I have tried to understand the changes taken place regarding different issue among three groups of women. In different group, some new variable is found, Can it be considered as difference? When I am applying ANOVA to understand the difference between the groups regarding different variables, In those case, significant difference is not found, How Can I put my statement then? Kindly guide me.
The difference is not coming significant. It may be due to low variation among the different groups. However, you can increase the sample sizes in each group and try out ANOVA again. It can serve the purpose. Generally speaking, if a one way ANOVA is not significant you should not run any post hoc test. This means you should spend more time talking about the descriptive statistics and the assumption checking rather than the result itself. A good place to start is an error bar chart, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test for each group and the Levene's test for homoscedasticity.
