When we talk about development three points comes in our mind i.e., 1. Economical development
2. Social development
3. Environmental development
the listed ideas are concentrated on humans only to fulfill their need as well as their greed.
Do you think without considering the others (animals) needs we are able to differentiate between our need and greed?
The idea of social development alone able to fulfill the all desires of human. What do you think?
The idea of economical and environmental development looks like a weed or invasive species's which is harmful for the humanity. What is your idea behind environment and economic development?
I would like to invite the all researchers from all disciplines to make a healthy discussion.
Development is more than improvements in people’s well-being: it also describes the capacity of the system to provide the circumstances for that continued well-being. Development is a characteristic of the system; sustained improvements in individual well-being are a yardstick by which it is judged. This has important implications for development policy, both for developing countries themselves wishing to put their economy and society onto a path of faster development, and for outsiders who want to help that process. We are at an early stage of exploring those implications.

We all seeking happiness and prosperity, In the mean time humanity is underestimated/losted somewhere because of economic based development concept. How we can manage the harmony between the economy and humanity? As economical concept increased our greadness and created more distance between human and nature.
When we talk about development, we must specify what type of development we are referring to. In general terms, the concept of development means growth, progress, evolution, improvement.
When we talk about economic development, then we talk about the continuous and sustained growth of the capacity of a country or region to generate wealth, all of which translates into the possibility of offering its citizens optimal levels of prosperity and well-being.
When we speak of social development, we are referring to the evolution and improvement of living conditions and the relationships between individuals, groups, and institutions that constitute the social fabric of a nation. This includes aspects such as health, education, housing, social security, employment, and the reduction of poverty and inequality levels.
Development is multidimensional. So it could not be said only need but greed is also extension of fulfilled need. First we need development for survival, then satisfaction and self actualization and all. So one who is at stage of survival will think about satisfied that he is greedy and so on
@Anjay kumar Mishra, when we extend our need towards greed at same time the concept of humanity destroyed either directly or indirectly and with extension society, culture and nature. I doubt, is greed in realy a extended form of need. The things we need to show somebody/society is the cause of our greed. The things we need for our survival or to help somebody to survive is need.
