im trying to compress breast cancer cells. Obviously, the variable that changes here is uncompressed and compressed group of cells. But the cells will be compressed against collagen coated gel on which it is growing as a monolayer.

What is the collagen I density (ug/cm2 or ug/ul) to use for my experiment that would correspond to the normal ECM environment? im aware that in tumorous environment, the ECM can be more denser than normal healthy conditions but introducing a collagen density that is high would add another variable to the gene expression changes (RNA-seq).
