Data in high resolution can cause many problems with hydraulic modelling. There are several methods for thinning out datasets without loosing much accuracy of elevation data. Regular dawngridding or preparing irregular networks are in use.

I would like hear from people who have experience with processes such reduced data (especially irregular networks) in DHI software and if it was more effective for large areas.
