Antigens produced by the A.fumigatus have different protein configuration and cause wide range of immunological reactions. Protein sequencing with the help of bioinformatics and protein crystallographic tools can help to elucidate exact role of the antigens involved in immunological disorder.
Thermostable cellulose production of A. fumigatus Z5 under solid state fermentation and it's application in degradation of agricultural waste has been reported.International Biodeteriation & Biodegradation Vol.65,Issue- 5,August 2011,717-725.
Aspergillus fumigatus has been utilised by numerous researchers in lab-scale bioleaching and have found to possess great potential in recovering metals. Unfortunately, its pathogenicity has disabled the scale-up of the process for the numerous health hazards they are capable of. Hence, through proteomics and genomics, if the causative gene can be identified and modified with additional potential, this species can prove helpful in this field.
